George Washington tests mission readiness, provides fuel to escort

PHILIPPINE SEA – The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) conducted a fueling-at-sea (FAS) with the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54), Oct. 8.

During this FAS, George Washington transferred approximately 1,000 gallons of fuel to Antietam.
